Freshwater Development is planning construction of a 4,500-square-foot custom home set on 2.31 acres with 175 feet of private Lake Michigan frontage. Designed to embrace its extraordinary natural setting, the home includes six bedrooms, five bathrooms, two primary suites, and multiple outdoor living spaces, all carefully positioned to capture dramatic lake views while connecting to the surrounding private woodlands and meandering creek.

The exterior is wrapped in cedar shake and nickel gap siding and topped with a matching cedar shake roof. Oversized glass panes span the steel and wood structure, bringing in abundant natural light and reinforcing the home’s connection to the landscape. The chimney is clad in Fond du Lac stone with a limestone cap, adding a timeless material presence to the architectural composition.

Inside, the home is defined by a warm and refined palette of natural stone and wood. The bespoke kitchen is designed as a central gathering space, featuring light-filled interiors, natural stone countertops, a white oak ceiling and island, and a high-end panelized appliance package with multiple refrigerators, an induction cooktop, integrated hood, and chef’s pantry. White oak flooring runs throughout the home, while bathroom floors and walls are finished with natural marble and tile selections.

Performance and longevity are central to the design. To support acoustical privacy and interior climate control, the home incorporates multiple layers of spray foam insulation exceeding local R-value requirements. With a focus on a lower carbon footprint, the home is primarily electric and includes a high-performance multi-zone mechanical system, heated floors throughout, and an electric vehicle charger in the garage.

The outdoor environment is designed as an extension of the home, with professional landscaping that includes multiple sitting areas, a dining area, outdoor kitchen, lighting, irrigation, and a curated mix of trees and grasses throughout the property.

Freshwater Development is serving as Developer, Design Architect, and General Contractor for the project, managing all consultants and trades from design through construction. Key project partners include Architect of Record Via Design, Structural Engineer Classic Engineering, Geotechnical Engineer Soils and Structures, Environmental Engineer Peterson Environmental, Civil Engineer Nederveld Engineering, along with all licensed subcontractors in the field. Construction is slated for completion in 2027.
